STEAM in Residence Program

We bring engineers to your classroom

Students learn directly from engineering experts, providing a different, but complementary perspective on engineering challenges facing industry professionals

Hydroponic garden

Using all of the lessons and technology from the year, students build and operate a hydroponic garden produce hydroponically grown food for their school community

NGSS applied curriculum

All of our lessons feature hands-on engineering challenges applied to the NGSS standards, giving students and teachers engaging hands-on applications to their normal learning

No student left behind

Our program is designed to work with every science class twice a month for a year or semester. We firmly believe all children of any age or background should be exposed to engaging STEAM & sustainability education, and our bilingual staff can accommodate English and Spanish speaking learners

OUR Schools created a unique STEAM in Residence program which provides K-8 students with hands-on learning experiences directly applied to the Next Generation Science Standards.

Through a recurring, structured course taught by trained engineers, students learn critical thinking and problem solving skills while working together to develop real world engineering solutions for today's environmental challenges.
Learn with real industry technology

Whether it's solar panels, hydroponic gardens, or electric cars, students build and experiment with the technology professional engineers and scientists work with every day

Sustainability isn't just about being Green

Whether it's producing or using clean energy, water, or food, the reasons for engineering long lasting solutions are endless and increasingly urgent, and the lessons learned from them cross disciplinary boundaries
